Blogging, Personal

I’m officially back!

Err. Hello??

Hi, there! It’s Mia, I’m the owner of this blog, in case you don’t know and I’m officially back on track! I’m back on book blogging and reading! Yaay!

So, I have been on a loong hiatus on reading and reviewing books for over two months mainly because of life. Apparently, my life is getting pretty bit demanding recently (and most likely until next year) and I can’t just ignore it.

Another reason is because I just feel like taking a “nap” or break in reading and blogging. I was so absorbed in my blog ever since I started. I honestly didn’t know that book blogging could be so addicting! I was having so much fun in reading, blogging and discovering new books and book blogs, and knowing what’s new with my favorite authors. I literally gave my time and effort on my blog since day one and it did paid off. I gained lovely and friendly followers, meet new friends, get to know the authors behind my favorite books, everything was going so well– more than I expected. Until one day, I don’t know, I just feel… exhausted. I thought I needed a break and so I did. I originally planned to take a break for just a month and then get back again but then life happened. My one month break stretched into another month. I was worried that I won’t be able to update my blog as often as I did before especially now that I’ll be doing some other things which needs my attention more. And because of these, I even thought about shutting this blog down and just leave everything behind.

But I couldn’t. This blog is too special for me and, more importantly, I’m inlove with reading and blogging and after venturing into the exciting world of book blogging, I don’t think I could ever read a book without sharing my thoughts about it anymore. And I also realized that it’s better to update once a week than not update at all.

I also want to say that I’m very thankful to all of my followers (old and new). Even though I wasn’t updating my blog for the last 2 months, I was really surprised that there are still people who follow my blog and leave comments on my posts and I genuinely appreciate that.

Oh, along with my comeback, I re-designed my blog’s layout! Tell me what d’you think about it! 🙂

Welcome back~ I'm glad that you returned to blogging! I took a blog break too for different reasons but I returned because I love blogging too, haha. Sometimes you just need a break, life happens. And the new layout is very pretty, I love the glitter and the bright red color!

I only just started blogging a few weeks ago and honestly.. it feels like a lot of pressure! I'm already feeling nervous that I won't be able to read fast enough to keep a regular review schedule – which is crazy, because that pressure takes all the fun out of reading. I think I just need to remember to read the books I feel like reading, at whatever pace I feel like. And once a week is okay! 😀
