Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick

Silence is the third installment from Becca Fitzpatrick’s sexy, addictive and thrilling Hush, Hush saga. I am a huge fan of Hush, Hush books, they are all well-written, the plot is fast-paced, the mystery and suspense is obsessing and the romance can drive anyone crazy. It was after reading the first book, Hush, Hush that made me decide to make a book blog so Hush, Hush is a big part of my book blog’s making.

The noise between Patch and Nora is gone. They’ve overcome the secrets riddled in Patch’s dark past…bridged two irreconcilable worlds…faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust…and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they’ve worked for—and their love—forever.

Anyway, back on to the third book, Silence has been on my anticipated reads for this year, waaay back from when Becca called it ‘Tempest’ until the day she announced that she’s going to call the third book ‘Silence’. The cliffhanger at the end of Crescendo left my jaw hanging so when my BFF Marrion from Palm Books Journal told me he already have a copy of Crescendo and he’s lending it to me (bless him), I didn’t think twice!

And Becca Fitzpatrick did it again in Silence! The excitement and mystery in Silence was as gripping and addictive as ever! One of the effects of Hush, Hush books on me is having the power to suck me into the story instantly and never let my attention go anywhere else.

I love the character development on this one, most especially Nora, who really disappointed me in Crescendo, redeemed herself in this book. I was so glad that she leveled up, personality-wise. She’s gained more independence and spunk and used her head a lot of times in this book. No more jumping to conclusions, thank God! Same with Patch, I was pleasantly surprised to see the new side of him, which was not what I expected at all. There are also characters from Crescendo that are back like Scott Parnell, and Detective Basso. Unfortunately, Vee, who I really loved on Hush, Hush and Crescendo, disappointed me on this one (just a wee bit). I hope that one the fourth book (which from what I heard is the last book in the saga) she would redeem herself. Patch and Nora’s relationship went on a whole new level on this book. I really, really hope they keep this up until the fourth book.

I highly recommend this to all hardcore Hush, Hush fans and to those who genuinely love Paranormal with a mix of heart-racing romance.

What? This isn't the last book? Darn I thought it was a trilogy. I liked Hush, Hush but I didn't like Crescendo. I was still looking forward to reading Silence though, and your review has made me even more excited~!
