Charlotte Silver’s world is like no one else’s…
As the daughter of the famous Silver Spirits paranormal investigators, Charlotte Silver is used to all things weird. But when coffins start floating down her street during a flood, life turns extra strange. And wonderful, when her friend and crush Noah signs on to help Charlotte and her folks in the aftermath. Cemetery cleanup might not sound exciting, but as shocking discoveries and a lurking stranger come to light, Charlotte learns that sometimes, raising the dead can bring unexpected rewards.
Raising The Dead is a short novella about Charlotte Silver and her not-so usual ability. It was a quick read but I really liked it. For someone like me who still haven’t read Past Midnight, it let me take a gander at characters like Charlotte, herself, her family and friends and most especially, a glimpse on what Past Midnight series is all about.
The story was well-written and I love stories about ghosts so it was easy for me to like the story. Mara did mentioned that it isn’t necessary to read Past Midnight first before reading Raising The Dead. Which is true because I haven’t read Past Midnight myself but I didn’t feel lost or disoriented in any parts of the story. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that after reading this one, I was even more excited to read Past Midnight.
I am giving this 4 out of 5 stars and I recommend this to all Paranormal junkies and to everyone who enjoyed Past Midnight!
