Summary via Goodreads:

Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her morbid secret ability. While the sixteen-year-old is confused by her new feelings for her best friend since childhood, she is more disturbed by her “power” to sense dead bodies—or at least those that have been murdered. Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes that the dead leave behind in the world… and the imprints that attach to their killers.
Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find the dead birds her cat had tired of playing with. But now that a serial killer has begun terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he’s claimed haunt her daily, she realizes she might be the only person who can stop him.
Despite his fierce protectiveness over her, Jay reluctantly agrees to help Violet on her quest to find the murderer—and Violet is unnerved to find herself hoping that Jay’s intentions are much more than friendly. But even as she’s falling intensely in love, Violet is getting closer and closer to discovering a killer… and becoming his prey herself.

This book was definitely not what I expect at all! WOW!

Kimberly had definitely put everything that I want from a supernatural/paranormal novel. I simply loved everything about the story! The plot was utterly intriguing and The writing was smooth and clear and completely entertaining. The characters are all tangible and just real. One of my most favorite aspect of the book was Violet and Jay’s relationship. Their relationship was like a breath of fresh air and their chemistry was so strong and beautiful and felt genuine. I simply fell inlove with both of them.

Another aspect that I really liked was the killer’s perspective. What a creeper!! He definitely scared the crap out of me! In a way, he reminds me of the killer on The Lovely Bones, they’re both creepy and definitely not the sort of guys I ever want to run into.

Kimberly successfully balanced the romance, mystery and creepy factor in this mega awesome of a book. The Body Finder is a riveting, addictive and romantic paranormal story that will leave you breathless!

This, no doubt, is a 5 out of 5 stars and I HIGHLY recommend this  to all mystery slash paranormal fans. And if you’re looking for a realistic romance on a paranormal story then grab this book, it will not disappoint 😉

I completely agree with your review, I loved this book for those reasons too. It really felt to me like a book about a normal girl falling in love for the first time while all this stuff related to her gift is happening. I still haven't read the sequel but mean to soon.

Awesome! I borrowed this from Kai. 🙂 I should be able to read it some time soon. It does sound great. But through the months I've read good and bad reviews – some harsh ones too. But nevertheless, I'll judge this based on my own reading experience. Great review Mia!
