Fifteen-year-old Megan Berry is a Zombie Settler by birth, which means she’s part-time shrink to a bunch of dead people with a whole lot of issues.

All Megan wants is to be normal and go to homecoming, of course. Unfortunately, it’s a little difficult when your dates keep getting interrupted by a bunch of slobbering Undead.

Things are about to get even more complicated for Megan. Someone in school is using black magic to turn average, angsty Undead into flesh-eating Zombies, and it’s looking like homecoming will turn out to be a very different kind of party the bloody kind.

Megan must stop the Zombie apocalypse descending on Carol, Arkansas. Her life and more importantly, homecoming depends on it.

As far as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to read this book. Even before I started my book blog, I already included You Are So Undead To Me on my “must-read” list. So when my awesome BFF MJ of Palm Books Journal lent me his copy, I was so psyched and I read it in one day and Stacey Jay did not disappoint me.

Question: Are all zombie themed books are just meant to be funny or just this book and the very first zombie book I’ve read two months ago? Because this book is seriously hilarious and I loved it! But, of course it was not entirely hilarious, just most of time because of Megan’s naturally bubbly and lively character.

The plot was also filled with suspense, action, twists and mystery, it was just insane. I love books with good mystery and Stacey Jay just put an effective one in this book. The idea of “Zombie Settlers” and Settler’s Affairs plus the magic and all that was just really interesting. I heartily enjoyed Megan’s character, she was such a fun character to read however, I find a bit whiny especially on the first part but as the story goes, she finally became who she truly meant to be.

Overall, I loved this book and I can’t wait to finally read the sequel because I read the synopsis and it was pretty intense. I strongly recommend this to all zombie fans just like me! You’ll enjoy this!

Haha this sounds like a lot of fun to read. I agree, most zombie books are funny (although Carrie Ryan's books aren't so much, much more drama). I'll have to try this one out.
