Mia is a book blogger based in Manila, Philippines. She primarily established this blog as her passion project—a space on the internet where she can document and share the books she had read in her own creative way. Her enthusiasm for literature started early on. She read about enchanting princesses and dragons and then she went on sleuthing adventures with Nancy Drew and the Wakefield twins. But it was The Boy Who Lived who changed everything. The years she spent with the seven books made her reading experience even more meaningful. Since then she has developed a strong passion for reading. She aspires to read as many books as she can.
She lives for coffee and pizza. She works as a registered nurse in a hospital within the city and while she loves her profession, she has always been interested in literature
She began blogging about books in late 2010. She found the experience as fun and amazing as it allowed her to discover new books and genres she thought she would not enjoy. She was able to meet new people (book-lovers alike, publishing representatives and authors). She learned so much about the world of books, publishing, and reading. However, this year (actually it began two years ago), she has decided to re-brand her blog.
Fantasy/Adventure is her favorite genre. Throughout her reading experience, she has stumbled across several amazing books. A number of her all-time favorites are the Harry Potter series (hence her blog’s name), Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, Graceling by Kristin Cashore, The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare, The Hobbit by J.K. Tolkien and Laini Taylor’s books. And the list goes on tbh.
